Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

We’re getting closer and closer to releasing our next collection, so we thought we’d finally give you that sneak peek we promised, and also talk about some of the changes we worked into this new collection.

First up, we decided we wanted to use cohesive fabrics this time around. We found a color palette that inspired us and then worked to find fabrics that reminded us of the time periods we used for our bags – the 1920s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. We hope you like them as much as we do!

Second, our patterns are still filled with pictures which help explain the steps, but we now only use three solid fabrics for those images – white, aqua, and navy. Using contrasting fabrics means that you can now print the pattern in black and white at home and still find the images extremely helpful.

Finally, we are going to release the patterns one at a time, instead of all at once, and we’re starting with a pattern that we are beyond excited about – a 1970s bucket bag – THE hottest bag for Fall – and if all goes well, we’ll launch it next week!

After that, we’ll be releasing our 1920s wristlet, then our 1950s clutch and finally our 1960s bowler bag. Later this Fall, we’ll release our next free pattern – a different wine tote that will be the perfect item to whip up for holiday gift giving. So stay tuned!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Well folks, we’re hitting another blogging milestone… we’re hosting our first giveaway! Our free wine totes pattern has now reached OVER ONE THOUSAND DOWNLOADS ON CRAFTSY!!!!!!! (That definitely required the use of capital letter screaming and excessive exclamation points.) We are absolutely blown away and beyond grateful, so we’ve decided to host a giveaway to celebrate. More importantly, it gives us yet another reason for some obligatory drinking and cheers-ing:

Craftsy Celebration

Wasn’t that fancy of us? Well then, you clearly don’t know us. Here is how we actually celebrate Wives of Whitewood style:

Tervis Love

Yes, those are Tervis’ full of champagne and ice. You are now free to do it yourself – you’re welcome.

All you need to do is head to our Facebook page and like the post about this giveaway. Alternatively, you can enter the giveaway by commenting on the post – maybe something about how much you admire someone for going public about their classy use of Tervis-ware.

The winner (chosen by random.org) will get a free pattern of their choice from our Spring 2014 collection, and the giveaway will be open until Thursday at 5pm. Good luck and spread the word!
