Today we are thrilled to announce that our patterns are now for sale in our absolute favorite quilt and fabric shop in Richmond – Quilting Adventures! We’re feeling pretty bad for Santa right now, because there’s no way the poor man can compete with a gift like this.
And the cherry on top? Quilting Adventure’s buyer and sewer extraordinaire Phoebe Guider sewed one of our bags and featured it on their blog today!!! We’re not sure either one of us will ever get over the indescribable joy of seeing one of our bags out there in the world. I know, Santa, we’re not making it easy on you here.
Okay, enough about poor Santa… check out Phoebe’s amazing Tuxedo Wristlet!! The prints work so well together, and the polka dot fabric showcases the pleat panel perfectly.
If you want to read more about her gorgeous Tuxedo Wristlet, check out her blog post. And we might have to steal her styling ideas… how perfect is this picture?!?
So the amazing folks at Quilting Adventures recently moved their store to a beautiful new location on the super fun Lakeside Avenue shopping corridor in the Northside of Richmond. When we first met actually, we used to spend Saturdays driving around town going to consignment shops and thrift stores filling our cars with furniture and the Lakeside Avenue shops never disappointed. Sadly, our houses no longer have room for thrifted scores so we haven’t been to Lakeside in quite some time. So we’re very excited to have an excuse to shop there again… and we all know there is NO such thing as a home without room for more fabric.

Here are some shots of the inside of the store. We can never leave without buying something wonderful – they have the greatest selection of quilting fabric, especially if you like more modern prints like we do. They also sell all kinds of quilting and sewing supplies.
They also support all kinds of fabric arts. Check out this swoon-worthy wall of floss!! Neither of us do embroidery, but this wall might just make us start.
And of course they have a fabulous selection of patterns to make quilts, bags, home décor items, gifts, children’s toys, etc. And since they’re currently the only place in Richmond where you can buy our patterns, they obviously have the best selection in town. Right now, you can buy a copy of our Tuxedo Trio, Zippers Galore or Starburst pattern there.
So the next time you’re in Richmond, be sure to check them out at 6943 Lakeside Avenue. Or you can shop from anywhere at www.quiltingadventures.com.
We’re still tweaking our next free pattern and it should be ready for release really soon. Instead of keeping you all in continued suspense though, we’ve decided you’ve earned a sneak peak – enjoy!!

Oh, you guys are so sweet! I’m glad you liked my version of the bag, and I’m especially glad you liked the photos – I was really desperate so we ended up taking pictures at the playground around the corner from my apartment – haha! I love making the bag and I can’t wait to make another one of your patterns soon.
We can’t wait either!
