Well folks, we’ve had a good run. After five years of writing patterns, an astute customer let us know that we ain’t all that. Whomp whomp.
It turns out we majorly screwed up some of the Pellon yardage requirements for our Applejack laptop / tablet case pattern, which we know is extremely frustrating. We can’t count how many times that has happened to us over the years, and it always makes us shake our fists in anger. So please, shake those mighty fists at us right now.
(By the way, she is definitely our new spirit animal.)
So we are now adding this as our first post to “The Bad” section of our Morning After page so we can let you know what we needed to change.
If you already purchased this pattern digitally through Craftsy, the site will automatically send you the revised version, or digitally through Etsy, we have already convo’ed you to make sure you receive the new version. If you already purchased this as a paper pattern through your local quilt shop, please contact us and we will be happy to send you a reprint of the necessary pages.
For your reference, here is what the corrected fabric requirements for the Applejack pattern now look like:
We sincerely apologize for the oversight, and we ALWAYS appreciate when our customers let us know what they think about our patterns – the good and the bad!
And that thing would be this…
Yep. That’s us. In print. For reals.
If you don’t believe me, here’s a sneak peak of the rest of the issue. (Which is the July 2018 issue of British Patchwork & Quilting by the way.)
So I don’t know about you, but we’re going to be spending all weekend driving around Richmond trying to find hard copies to buy. #realdealpublication #webefamous
In all seriousness though (and you know how we hate to be serious), we couldn’t be more honored to be included in their publication. When we started on this adventure in our kitchens years ago, we never thought we’d see our company’s name in print. So, go, follow your dreams. Well, really only the good ones. Much love – the now famous Ali & Courtney
We’ve been quiet for a few months now, and for once we have a good reason. Or at least, a real reason.
Yeahhhhh. So Courtney might have cut a piece of her index finger off with her rotary blade. No big deal. It only took a mere 9 weeks to heal. (And by heal, we mean that she only cries out in pain twice a day from the still extremely tender flesh in her fingertip.)
We’re happy to report that Courtney is currently cleaning out her sewing room so she that she can continue work on our newest creation.
On a related note, without further ado, we wanted to share a sneak peek of our newest pattern! We would like to introduce to you the Let’s Jet.
If we don’t say so ourselves, ain’t she a beaut’, Clark??
She’s a perfectly sized small messenger bag that we created as the big sister to our most popular pattern – the Gotta Go wristlet. The beautiful fabric is from the Paloma line from our awesome friends at Ink and Arrow Fabrics (part of the Quilting Treasures family).
By the way, these gorgeous images were taken by Ali during her month long trip to Africa. Courtney is spending the month alternating between feelings of extreme jealousy and missing Ali something fierce.
We plan to release the pattern this summer and we will be putting the call out for testers in the next few weeks. There’s a LOT more to see and love about this bag, so stay tuned, stay cool, and stay classy.
