We’re getting closer and closer to releasing our next collection, so we thought we’d finally give you that sneak peek we promised, and also talk about some of the changes we worked into this new collection.
First up, we decided we wanted to use cohesive fabrics this time around. We found a color palette that inspired us and then worked to find fabrics that reminded us of the time periods we used for our bags – the 1920s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. We hope you like them as much as we do!
Second, our patterns are still filled with pictures which help explain the steps, but we now only use three solid fabrics for those images – white, aqua, and navy. Using contrasting fabrics means that you can now print the pattern in black and white at home and still find the images extremely helpful.
Finally, we are going to release the patterns one at a time, instead of all at once, and we’re starting with a pattern that we are beyond excited about – a 1970s bucket bag – THE hottest bag for Fall – and if all goes well, we’ll launch it next week!
After that, we’ll be releasing our 1920s wristlet, then our 1950s clutch and finally our 1960s bowler bag. Later this Fall, we’ll release our next free pattern – a different wine tote that will be the perfect item to whip up for holiday gift giving. So stay tuned!
