We can’t believe it, but this is the final pattern from our Spring 2015 collection. Cue sad faces all around. However, we already designed our next free pattern and we’re working away on our Fall collection, so let’s turn those frowns upside down. (Okay, one of us clearly needs to listen to something other than preschooler music.)
So without further ado, we bring you our next everyday bag, the Stowaway!
When we designed our oversized Carried Away tote, we knew immediately that we wanted to design a smaller companion bag to go with it. So we took the idea of angled pockets and a similar strap design and came up with the Stowaway. We think it’s pretty darn awesome.
Just like we did with Carried Away, we used outdoor fabric and we’re totally crushing on this bold and fun print combination.
As usual, one of our test bags was done in solid broadcloth, and it gives off a completely different vibe – very cool and ultra modern.
The outer bag features two front pockets, one with a zipper closure and one without. You can easily fit your phone, keys, sunglasses or whatever else you need to grab quickly and easily.
The lining features our usual customizable divided pocket, and the zipper closure will keep everything that you stowaway inside. Sorry, we couldn’t resist. Actually, we’re surprised we held off this long. You’re welcome.
The strap is adjustable so you have the option to shorten it and wear it over your shoulder or lengthen it and wear it as a messenger bag.
The PDF pattern has 12 pages and over 75 color photos to help you every step of the way.
We’ll be back in a few weeks with our awesome new free pattern, and we’re hoping this sweet face will entice you to come back and check it out.
And remember to send us images of your completed Stowaways because we’d love to feature them on our blog or on Instagram.
